Drywall is up, taping is done, now on to the layers and layers of mudding.
I guess the standard is tape, one coat, second coat and final coat. I don’t really subscribe to those rules. In every coat I try for smooth as possible. However, I don’t over emphasize on making any which coat a final coat. I work the surface until it is smooth. Even if there are multi layers. My final goal is to never sand. Sanding is too messy. So far there is ample evenness. We’ll see how it looks in the morning.
Prior to complete drywall coverage, a few minor adjustments for light and plumbing ensured that everything would line up as planned.
