While the concrete mix cures on the kitchen floor, it was time to start removing the baseboards.

I am on the fence about replacing baseboards in the entire unit. Most of them are in good condition, but there are some missing. Using a baseboard pry bar and a small hammer, I carefully removed them with utmost care to maintain as much integrity as possible. Then I marked each piece so that I can reinstall them, if I choose to.

An good vacuuming revealed some screws left behind from floor demolition. With all foreign objects gone, things are getting clearer.
