Tiles are all removed and thinset scrapped away. It was a huge task to carry all of those broken tiles down two flights of stairs and into the community dumpster. My Recyler proved a worthy helper. More like he made light work of this pile.

Finally, time to uncover that squeaky kitchen floor. I carefully cut a hole in the plywood, with a Fein Multimaster Wood Cut off. Then reached in the floor to make sure there was no obstruction. Using a Sawzall Reciprocating Saw, I cut towards the joists. Removing an ample square solved the squeak. Next, I’ll add supports and recover with plywood then concrete.
