The floor saga continues. Moving into the Guest Bathroom and Bedroom, I uncovered layers of flooring. Under the tiles was Hardibacker board screwed over vinyl tiles into concrete subfloor.
Initially I rented a short tile chisel, which worked well to pop 16” tiles with no issues. However, this short chisel was a little lacking to tackle layers of floor. I went back to Home Depot Tool Rental and switched out for a longer chisel. This worked much better. In the sweltering 103 degree Florida weather, no Air Conditioner, thick dust and little or no cross wind it was a long day with very frequent breaks and lots of water.
More floor tiles popping and scraping tomorrow.
